Our VPN solution is more comprehensive than other competing products by virtue of offering OpenVPN - faster and more flexible tunneling protocols. Our VPN solutions have traditionally been based on the industry-standard IPSec protocol suite (which is still provided for those that need its interoperability with other products). OpenVPN offers benefits of greater throughput, simpler configuration, and faster tunnel set up times.
By using VPN powered NetPilots, organisations can establish totally secured VPNs between their sites using existing Internet connections. Secure networks can be easily established. Other Internet activities, such as web browsing and the transferring of email to and from other destinations around the world, can operate alongside the VPN activity.
Note : A fixed, static IP address, is required at the central site NetPilot product connected to the ADSL circuit. When using IPSec a Static IP address is also required at the remote site regardless of connectivity type. When OPenVPN at the remote site, dynamically allocated IP addresses may be used. IPSec VPN single user client client configurations can also operate with dynamic IP addresses.
NetPilot provides the facilities for remote access to, and administration of, NetPilots and associated local networks. All these functions are achieved at low cost - using the Internet - and are totally secure. Also provided is the functionality to remotely access email on NetPilot or an office mail-server on its LAN, from anywhere in the world. From home or hotel, an office network is securely accessible. A suitable VPN client installed on the PC or Notebook being used to remotely access the NetPilot is required for this capability.
