Webmail and Calendaring
Webmail
WebMail provides a 'hotmail' like facility on all current NetPilots. It also provides a Calendaring facility for all NetPilots capable of running software version 3.0 or higher.
It is based on Squirrel Mail, an open source package. It is not meant to replace the standard mail interface using clients such as Outlook or Outlook Express, but rather offer an alternative especially for remote access applications, where perhaps a small number of remote sales or support people need to collect their email, which is sitting on a central site NetPilot.
Calendaring
The calendaring feature uses a browser interface and it is part of the overall Webmail facility. It is provided free of charge and is easy to configure.
The administrator can configure independent calendars for private users as well as shared calendars giving all users access. It is also possible to restrict access to give write / read only rights as required.
